Nancy (Hornkohl) Peterson, 76, of Southington, widow of Harvey E. Peterson, passed away Sunday (February 28, 2010). Born in New Britain, Nancy has been a Southington resident since 1957. She is a graduate of Teachers College (now CCSU) and was employed as a Nursery School Teacher at Grace United Methodist Church in Southington for many years. Besides being a member of the church, she was a member of the Southington Festival Choir.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Peterson of Southington; and Todd Peterson and his wife Rosemarie of Plainville; a sister, Joyce Brotherton of Southington; two grandchildren, Nathan H. Peterson and Victoria Lynn Peterson; several nieces and nephews; and a grand puppy Lilly.
Funeral services will be held Thursday 10 AM at the Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain. Calling hours will be held Thursday morning from 9 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Southington.
