Paul Gimma, Jr., 46, of West Chesterfield, New Hampshire, passed away Tuesday (February 23, 2010) in New Hampshire. A New Britain native and former resident, he was son of the late Paul Gimma Sr. and Gladys (Jehning) Gimma, he moved to New Hampshire 10 years ago. He was a graduate of St. Paul's High School in Bristol and CCSU. Paul was a Patient Manager at Crotchet Mountain Rehabilitation Service for the past 6 years.

Surviving are two sisters, Donna Magnani and her husband Gerald; and Marion Oliver-Cross and her husband Thomas Cross, all of Plainville; a niece, Michelle Mayette, her husband John and their children, Ava and Jack Mayette of Plainville; three nephews, Brendan Moran and his partner Becky Giantonio of East Hampton; Matthew Fournier and Will Cross, both of Plainville; many aunts and uncles.

Paul Loved all animals, from rescuing a mouse, caught by a cat and nursing it back to health, to his beloved dogs and cats, his special pets, Lola, Sky, Daisy, Violet, Beauregard, Therman, Ryde and Bodie.. He loved his home in New Hampshire and enjoyed helping people maintain their independent living through his work. Paul's kindness and compassion brought many people to talk to him and along his way, made many friends. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service will be private. He will be buried at Fairview Cemetery in New Britain at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Protectors of Animals (POA), PO Box 24, South Glastonbury, CT 06073. The Carlson Funeral Home, New Britain is assisting the family with arrangements.
